If there's one drawback about our e-bikes we can probably all agree on, it's that they're small. If you're coming from a full-size MX bike your Sur Ron or Segway e-bike probably feels like a toy, especially if you are 5’ 8” or taller. What you might not know is that being cramped on the bike actually hurts performance. You aren’t able to shift your weight correctly because your ergos are all wrong. You might even find yourself tapping out of rides early because you just need to stretch out for a minute.
The GritShift 2.5” Seat Riser for Sur Ron LBX and Segway X160/X260 e-bikes is a solid aluminum riser kit that’s overbuilt to withstand the heaviest MX and hard enduro riding. Our kit gives you 2.5” more height and 1.5” more reach, which might not sound like much, but we all know a few extra inches can make a huge difference.
Also known as a subframe riser, a seat riser makes your e-bike more comfortable overall by easing the transition from sitting to standing and allowing you to stretch out while riding, thereby prolonging your stamina. But it goes beyond that: you now have more room for upgraded rear wheels and larger tires, and the battery cover riser gives you space to upgrade to a physically larger battery. Best of all, the improved ergonomics mean better leverage on the bars and more space to shift your weight around, which means better handling and less of that “kid’s toy” feeling our e-bikes tend to come with.
Why choose our seat riser over the competition? Our kit doesn’t let you mount a tire pump like the Warp 9 kit does, but ours comes with an anodized aluminum tank riser as opposed to Warp 9’s plastic riser, which is a huge upgrade in terms of durability. We also prefer the look and geometry of our seat risers, having run them for thousands of miles on our own bikes with our own butts. Of course we like ours better – we make them!
